Girl drowns in river

A 13-year-old schoolgirl drowned in the River Munia at Gobindopur village in Rajnagar upazila on Sunday afternoon. The deceased is Tahmina Begum, 13, daughter of Ataur Rahman of the village, and a student of Class VIII of Sunapur High school in the area. Moiur Rahman, chairman of Fatepur Union Parishad, said the girl fell into the river while washing clothes on its bank and drowned.
