Four months over, no charge sheet yet

Teachers and students of five schools and colleges formed a human chain at Chourasta Intersection in Chuadanga Sadar upazila yesterday, demanding exemplary punishment to the killers of Shihabuddin, a Class III student of Kutubpur Government Primary School in the upazila.

Addressing a rally at the venue, the speakers demanded that the police administration submit the charge-sheet in the killing case soon.

Shihab, 9, along with his playmates went to the school playground in the afternoon of October 28, 2015, and remained missing since then.Police recovered his body from a ditch adjacent to his house on October 30.

Police arrested two people-Sultan and Abdul Alim-from the village on November 18. They confessed to their involvement in the killing.

Contacted, Officer-in-Charge Saiful Islam of Sadar Police Station said police could not submit the charge sheet in the case as three investigation officers (IO) were transferred in the last four months.
