Four including madrasa girl abducted
Four people, including a madrasa girl and a cattle trader, were abducted in Jessore and Bandarban districts on Saturday.
An alleged stalker abducted a madrasa girl from Joyenta village in Jessore Sadar upazila on Saturday, reports our Benapole correspondent.
Ilias Hossain, officer-in-charge of Jessore Kotwali Police Station, said one Shamim Hossain, 20, son of Abdur Zabbar of Shakharigati village, used to tease the eighth grader.
The victim's father then informed Shamim's parents about the matter, which angered Shamim.
On Saturday Afternoon, Shamim with the help of his associates Rubel, 19, and others abducted the girl when she was returning from her friend's house.
In Bandarban, criminals abducted a cattle trader and two others from Thanchi of the district the same day, reports our correspondent.
The abductees are cattle trader Abu Bakkar, 30, and his associates Absar Ali, 28, and Md Shabuddin, 29, of Obaidur Hakimpara of Alikadom upazila.
Family members said cellphones of the victims remained switched off since they went to buy cattle at remote Tong Pue para in Thanchi upazila with Tk 2,50,000 at noon.
They might have been abducted by an armed group of the area, said Bakkar's younger brother Abu Nayeem.
They arrested one John Tripura for his alleged involvement in the abduction, said Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Thanchi Police Station .
