Five arrested on border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested five Bangladeshi nationals while they were illegally going to India through Putkhali border in Benapole Port Police Station yesterday. The arrestees are Masud Rana, 21, his wife Farjana Begum, 19, Fatima Begum, 30, wife of Abdus Sobhan, Sonya Khatun, 18, wife of Kakon Mia, and Tania Khatun, 17, wife of Abul Hossain. They hail from different areas in Mymensingh. A case was filed in this connection, said Shamsur Rahman, in-charge of BGB-21 Battalion.
