Fisherman strangled

Police recovered the body of a missing fisherman from a roadside ditch in Akkelpur upazila of Joypurhat district yesterday. The victim is Sukumar Kumar Mohanta, 35, of Abadipur village. Family members said Sukumar went out of home on Thursday afternoon for going to nearby Gopinathpur Bazar in the upazila and since then he remained missing. He was strangled over a previous enmity, suspected police. The body was sent to Joypurhat Modern Hospital morgue for autopsy, said the officer-in-charge of Akkelpur Police Station.
