Extortionists loot house

Extortionists vandalised and looted a house in Pathartola area of the district town on Monday night when the owner declined to pay money as per their demand. Md Rafikul Islam, owner of the newly-built house, said a gang demanded Tk 2 lakh from him around 9:00pm. Being refused, they vandalised the furniture and looted ornaments and cash from the house, he added. Abdulla Al Hasan, officer-in-charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station, said a case was filed, accusing 25 to 30 people.
