Ecnec approves 9 projects worth Tk 2,744 crore

Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) today approved a total of nine projects worth Tk 2,744.44 crore.

The approval came at a meeting at the NEC conference room in the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area with Ecnec Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

According to a press release of the Planning Ministry, two of the projects are under Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources -- Installation of Single Point Mooring with Double Pipeline and Ghorashal Third Unit Re-powering.

Of the other projects, three are related to rehabilitation in Naogaon and Dinajpur districts and two have been approved for river dredging in the two districts.

At the meeting, Planning Minister MA Mannan, Agriculture Minister Md Abdur Razzak, Information Minister Hasan Mahmud, Education Minister Dipu Moni, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun were present, among others.
