Easy bike driver strangled

Police recovered the body of a battery-run easy bike driver from a sugarcane field at Mollakua village in Kaliganj upazila of the district yesterday. The victim is Khokon Das, 26, son of Shayam Kumar Das of Borobhatpara village. Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station, said Khokon went out of his home with the easy bike on Wednesday and since then he remained missing. Informed by locals, the law enforcers recovered the body from the field yesterday morning. Criminals strangled Khokon and took away his vehicle, suspected police. The body was sent to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
