Drug addict jailed

A mobile court sentenced a drug addict to six months' imprisonment at Pashchimpara village in Sadullapur upazila of the district on Tuesday. The convict is Shamim Mia, 32, son of Anwara Begum of the village. Informed by Anwara, police arrested Shamim from the area in the afternoon when he was taking Yaba. He was later produced before the court, led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ahsan Habib, which pronounced the verdict, said Farhad Emrul Quaesh, OC of Sadullapur PS.
