Dolphin found dead on Halda river bank

A dolphin was found dead with wounds believed to have been caused by a sharp object on the bank of Halda river in Chattogram's Raozan upazila this afternoon.

The mammal possibly died two to three days back and washed ashore on a shoal near Kagtia area, said Halda river researcher Professor Dr Manzoorul Kibria.

It had a deep cut on its chest and tail and may havde died of injuries caused by mechanical boats, the researcher said.
