Dense fog disrupts ferry service

Ferry service on the Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed on Saturday after seven hours of disruption caused by dense fog.

Salahuddin, manager (Commercial) of BIWTA Aricha ghat, said they suspended ferry services on the route from 3:00am to 10:00am due to poor visibility.

Fourteen ferries remained stranded at Daulatdia and Paturia ghats. The ferry 'Shahjalal' got stuck in the mid-river, he said.
