Death threat to priests

An anonymous handwritten letter was found inside the century-old Lokonath temple in the district town on Saturday. 

The letter reads, "Hindu community leaders and priests would be killed," said Amal Kumar Bhattachary, priest of the temple.

He went to the temple in the morning and found the letter there.

Security has been beefed up at the temple and other temples of the town, said Superintendent of Police Shuvash Chandra Saha.
