Dead bodies found in Gazipur, Jashore

Law enforcers claimed to have recovered two bodies from Gazipur’s Sreepur upazila and Jashore town today.

In Gazipur, police recovered the body of an unidentified woman aged around 25 years old from a pond in Maona union of Sreepur.

Zabedul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sreepur Police Station told our local correspondent that police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.

Preliminary reports suggest the woman was strangled to death at another place and later dumped in the pond, Zabedul added.

In Jashore, the body of Sinbad Mollah, son of Abdur Rahman Mollah of the town was recovered from an abandoned drum in Kholadanga area this morning.

Sinbad’s body was sent to Jashore Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, our local correspondent reports quoting Apurbo Hasan, officer-in-charge(OC) of Jashore Kotwali Police Station.

Victim’s father alleged that Sinbad was killed by his friends for establishing supremacy in the area.
