Current nets seized

A mobile court in a drive seized huge illegal current nets worth around Tk five lakh from Joykalosh area under Dakkhin Sunamganj upazila on Friday. A mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Dipankar Chakma raided the area around 5:30pm and seized the fishing nets. However, none was arrested in this connection. Later, the seized nets were burnt on the spot, said Upazila Fisheries Officer Sima Rani Bishwas.
