Criminal held with arms

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a criminal along with a pistol and bullets from Dapdapia area in Nalcity upazila of the district on Monday night. The arrestee is Mohammad Al-Amin, 27, son of Abul Khan of Bakerganj upazila in Barisal. A team of Rab-8 intercepted Al-Amin near a makeshift check-post at Dapdapia area on Barisal-Kuakata road and arrested him along with the pistol and two bullets, Lt Col Faridul Alam of Rab-8 said. Al-Amin was an accused in a number of cases filed with Bakerganj Police Station, Officer-in-Charge Sultan Mahmud of Nalcity Police Station said.
