Coronavirus: Bangladeshi with high temperature sent to quarantine

Star Online Report

A Bangladeshi man who landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from the Maldives has been sent to hospital to be quarantined.

"A Bangladeshi passenger who came from Maldives through the Sri Lankan airlines this noon, was sent to hospital for quarantine as he had high temperature," Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul-Ahsan told The Daily Star.

Asked about the allegation that airport officials are threatening people coming from abroad with quarantine measures if they do not pay bribes, Touhid claimed the allegation is false and fabricated.

He asked people to lodge complaints with the airport authority if any passengers face any such threat.
