Cops' arms lost in Meghna found

A rifle and a shotgun, which went missing after a boat carrying a patrol team of police capsized in the Meghna River near Ashuganj on Friday morning, were recovered on Saturday afternoon. Mohammad Selim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Ashuganj Police Station, said a team of divers of the fire service pulled out the two firearms from Tajpukur area of the river around 1:00pm. Earlier on Friday, the rifle and the shotgun went missing as the boat carrying four policemen on patrol sank in the middle of the river due to a collision with an oil-laden boat.
