Cop hurt as bombs hurled at police van in Jessore

A cop was injured as criminals hurled two crude bombs at a police van in RN road in Jessore town yesterday.

The injured is Constable Golam Quader.

Locals said some criminals hurled two crude bombs at the vehicle around 2:30pm, leaving Golam Quader injured.

Shikder Akkas Ali, officer-in-charge of Jessore Kotwali Police Station, said the police constable was injured by a brick chip during a clash between two groups in Asram area in the town.

The injured policeman was taken to Jessore Medical College Hospital for treatment.

A doctor of the emergency department of the hospital said Golam Quader received splinter injuries.
