College boy 'commits suicide'

A college girl allegedly committed suicide by taking poison at Balidia village in Mohammadpur upazila on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Bithun Khatun, 17, daughter of Biplob Biswas of the village. She was a 1st year student of Mohammadpur Women's College.

Police said Bithun took poison in her room in the afternoon following a quarrel with her mother and fell sick.

She was rushed to Magura Sadar Hospital where she died.
