Child marriage, father fined

A mobile court here yesterday fined a man for arranging marriage of his underage daughter. The convict is Abdul Momin of Megurkhirda village in Kaliganj upazila. Being informed that Momin arranged marriage of his 14-year-old daughter at noon, Assistant Land Commissioner Shahnaj Parvin, who led the court, went to the spot and foiled the marriage. She also fined Momin Tk 1000, said court sources.
