Cattle-laden truck looted

Armed robbers looted a cattle-laden truck near Chariarbeel area on Kushtia- Jhenidah road under Shailakupa upazila. The gang also stabbed the trucker Shariful Islam of Abalpur village in Kotchandpur upazila. Police said a gang of 8/10 waylaid a Dhaka-bound cattle-laden truck from Chuadanga around 12:30am. They stabbed its driver Shariful and later tied him along with the four cattle traders to a tree and took away 12 cattle. Officer-in-Charge Tarikul Islam of Shailakupa Police Station said locals rescued the five and admitted them to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital.
