Case filed against man for raping 13yr old in Narayanganj

A case was filed in connection with the rape of a thirteen-year-old girl in Narayanganj's Rupganj upazila.

The victim's mother filed the case with Rupganj police station this evening accusing Chandra Kishore, 48, hailing Dighurpar area of the upazila, reports our local correspondent quoting Mahmudul Hasan, officer-in-charge of the police station.

Quoting the case statement, the OC said the accused took the girl to a nearby abandoned house while she was playing outside her house on September 28, promising the child chocolates. He later raped her at the abandoned property.

As the girl screamed, locals rushed to the spot and managed to rescue her, although the rapist had fled.

Attempts are going on the nap the accused, the OC said.
