BSF detains Bangladeshi farmer

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) detained a Bangladeshi farmer at Kamalpur frontier under Shibganj upazila of the district yesterday.

He is Salim Mia, 27, son of .

Lt Col Jahid Hasan, commanding officer (CO) of BGB-43 Battalion in Naogaon, said Salim Mia, 27, son of Fazlur Rahman of Shialmara village in the upazila, crossed the border mistakenly when he went to work in his land near border pillar No 190 at around 9:00am.

BSF personnel of Piajbari camp caught Salim and handed him over to the Indian police.
