BNP's programme foiled

Police foiled a programme at the district office of BNP in the town yesterday. As per the party's central leaders' instruction, a meeting was called but the party leaders and activists could not enter the office in Munshiganj area in the town as the law enforcers cordoned off it from morning, said MA Salam, president of the district unit of BNP. Earlier, they took permission from the police for holding the programme, he said. Tozammel Haque, officer-in-charge of Bagerhat Model Police Station, said police cordoned off the office to maintain law and order in the area.
