BNP leader found dead

A local BNP leader was found dead in Bhaluka upazila of the district on Sunday. The deceased, Mehedi Hasan Pappu, 24, son of Ayub Ali Sarker, was president of Bharaduba union unit of BNP. Pappu, a resident of Bhaluka municipality area, went out of his house around 1:00am on Sunday and did not return home. Officer-in-Charge Mamun-or-Rashid of Bhaluka Police Station said locals spotted Pappu's body floating in a canal near Bhaluka Degree College in the morning and informed police. A case was filed in this connection.
