Barking deer’s body recovered in Chattogram

Forest officials recovered the body of a slaughtered barking deer from Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram this morning.

On suspicion, a man, aged around 40, carrying a sack was asked to stop by forest officials in Sonaichori union.

Hearing the command, the man fled the scene immediately, but left the sack behind, said Jakir Hossen, beat officer of Shitolpur block under Chattogram divisional forest office (north).

The body of the barking deer was found inside the sack, the beat officer said.

"We later informed the local administration and buried the deer's body as per their suggestion," he added.
