Bank heist victim Palash buried in Jhenidah

Mollah Palash, who was killed by robbers inside Commerce Bank in Ashulia on Tuesday, was laid to rest at Lakkhandia village in Sailakupa upazila of Jhenidah on Wednesday night.
His body reached the village in the evening. A large number of people attended the namaj-e-janaza for Palash at the village.
Palash, 50, an entrepreneur, went to the bank to withdraw money for staff payment at his screen print factory in the area, according to the factory staff.
He was also a leader of Jahangirnagar University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in 1980s. He left behind his wife.
