Ampoules of Indian sedative injection seized

At least 15,540 ampoules of Indian sedative injection were seized at Dorigachhi village of Shibganj upazila in the district on early Monday.

Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh-BGB of Kamalpur Border Observation Post (BOP) under 59 BGB Battalion raided the bordering village around 1:30am, some four kilometres away from zeroline.

The border guards signaled to stop around five people who were coming from India through the border when reached a mango orchard but the smugglers fled the scene immediately, leaving two cartons of ampoules, said BGB sources.
