Abduction bid foiled, 2 arrested

Local people caught two alleged kidnappers while they were trying to abduct a housewife from a CNG-run autorickshaw at Chowdhury Bazar in Kamalnagar upazila on Saturday night.

Kabir Ahmad, officer-in-charge of Kamalnagar Police Station, said locals caught Rubel Hossain of Panditnagar village, and Jamal Uddin of Charmartin village of the upazila, as they tried to abduct a housewife at around 10:30pm.

Locals beat up the duo and handed them over to the police.
