9 robbers arrested

Police arrested nine alleged robbers from Gazipur area of Mymensingh-Kishoreganj road in Gouripur upazila of the district early yesterday.

They arrestees are Dipu Miah, 20, Babon Miah, 21, Al Amin, 22, Salah Uddin, 24, Sujon Miah, 28, Asadul Islam, 25, Babul Hossain, 20, Rafiqul Islam, 20 and Rubel Miah, 21. They all hail from Shambhuganj area in Mymensingh Sadar upazila, police said.

When the gang was preparing to commit a robbery in Gazipur area around 4:00am, locals informed the police, who rushed to the spot, chased the robbers and arrested the nine of the gang.
