9 districts get new deputy commissioners

The government has appointed new deputy commissioners to nine districts.

The public administration ministry issued a gazette notification yesterday declaring that the order would be effective immediately.

Mohammad Enamul Haque, the deputy commissioner (DC) of Jamalpur, has been transferred to Mymensingh as the new DC. Habiganj DC Md Kamrul Hasan has been made the DC of Cumilla.

Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary Khaleda Mohammad Zaki, attached to power division, has been made the DC of Dinajpur. Mohammad Saidul Islam, programme executive and coordinator of Strengthening Public Financial Management Programme Service Delivery (SPFMS), is the new DC of Kushtia.

Deputy Secretary Ishrat Jahan of the land ministry has been named the new DC of Habiganj while Deputy Secretary Mohammed Mizanur Rahman of the cabinet division was made the DC of Rangamati.

Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary Md Mozibor Rahman, private secretary to the state minister for youth and sports, has been appointed as the DC of Jhenaidah.

Deputy Secretary Mursheda Zaman, attached to the Bank and Financial Institution Division, will take over charge as DC of Jamalpur while Deputy Secretary Md Toufiq-E-Leahi-Chowdhury has been made the DC of Bhola.
