8 JMB men charged over Dinajpur temple attack

Police have pressed charges against eight members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in a case filed over the attack in a Hindu temple in Dinajpur last year.

Abu Sayeed Sarker, inspector of senior judicial magistrate court in Dinajpur, placed the charge sheet before a local court yesterday afternoon, reports our Dinajpur correspondent.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Nazmul Hossain fixed the next hearing date of the case on July 24 after Inspector Sarker submitted the charge sheet.

Earlier on December 10, 2015 unidentified gunmen hurled a crude bomb inside International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Isckon) temple in Dinajpur and opened fire at its entrance, injuring two people.
