8 gamblers held

Police arrested eight alleged gamblers at Dineshwari village in Birganj upazila of the district yesterday. They are Md Nomir Uddin, 45, Aminul Islam, 25, Jahirul Islam, 35, Narayan Chandra Roy, 33, of Dineshwari village, Jiten Borman, 28, Siraj Uddin, 40, Azizul Islam, 35, and Nur Islam, 32, of Dabra village in the upazila. On information, the law enforcers arrested the eight when they were gambling in the area, said Moshiur Alam, sub-inspector of Birganj Police Station.
