60 grams of heroin recovered

Department of Narcotics Control seized 60 grams of heroin from a local union parishad member's house at Pustigasha village in Ullapara upazila of the district on Tuesday noon. Inspector of the department (Shahjadpur Circle) Ilias Hossain Talukdar said on information, they raided the house of Bachchu Akanda, member of Ramkrisnapur Union Parishad, and seized the heroin. However, Bachchu Akanda manged to flee, sensing the presence of the officials. A case was filed with Salanga Police Station in this connection.
