5 held with pistol, bullets

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested five youths with a foreign made pistol, two bullets and a magazine from Rambabu Road area in the district town early yesterday.

They also seized a private car from their possession, said Assistant Police Superintendent Sayed of Rab-14.

The arrestees are Etwar Islam Ruchi, 32, Md Shahidul Islam Dipu, 31, Rafiur Rahman Khan, 32, Md Mushfiqur Rahman, 29, and Motahar Hossain Mazed, 33, of different areas in the town.

They are involved in arms trading, said Rab sources.
