459 PSC answer scripts burnt in ‘mysterious fire’

At least 459 answer scripts of recently concluded Primary School Certificate (PSC) examinations were burnt in a mysterious fire at Sadar Upazila Complex on Saturday.

The answer scripts were wrapped in 14 bundles and kept in a room of the upazila complex. Contacted, Tahmina Begum, deputy director of primary education department, in Sylhet division, said it might be an act of sabotage.

A case was filed with Shah Poran Police Station in this connection. Of the 459 answer scripts, 141 were of English and 318 of Bangla and Bishwa Porichoy, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahbubur Rahman said.
