35 houses gutted

At least 35 houses of 25 families were burnt in a fire at Tangua village in Khansama upazila of the district on Friday night.

The damage caused by the fire will be worth around Tk 30 lakhs, the affected family members said. 

Locals said the fire originated from the kitchen of Md Momtaj Hossain around 11.00pm when the housewife was preparing dinner.
