3 killed, 10 injured as train, bus collide in Feni
At least three passengers were killed and 10 others injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a train at Fatehpur Bridge Rail Crossing in Feni early this morning.
The Chattogram-bound train from Dhaka collided with the bus while crossing Fatehpur Bridge rail gate around 5:53am, Lima Khanam, a duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters in Dhaka, said quoting witnesses and locals.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Two passengers of the bus were killed on the spot and at least 11 others injured as the bus overturned after colliding with the train, she told The Daily Star.
On information, firefighters from Feni rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies and took the injured to hospital.
One of the injured succumbed at Feni General Hospital, the fire service official said quoting hospital sources.
According to passengers, most of them in the bus were asleep when the accident took place.
