3 illegal brick kilns fined

A mobile court in Raozan upazila of the district fined three brick kilns Tk one lakh each and sentenced two people to imprisonment for running brick kilns without licence.

The brick kilns are KBI, F Ali and Shanti brick fields. Besides, Rabindra Das and Shah Alam, managers of KBI and F Ali, were sentenced to jail for 21 days for the same offence.

Tamim Al Yamin, executive magistrate of Chittagong district administration, conducted the drive from 10:00am to 5:00 pm at Bramman para in Noapara area and fined the kilns under Brick Kilns Establishment (Control) Act 2013.
