3 die of Covid-19 like symptoms at Satkhira Medical College Hospital

Three people died of Covid-19 like symptoms at Satkhira Medical College Hospital today.

The deceased are: Ibrahim Hossain (60) and Golam Ehsak (90) of Satkhira town, and Masum Billah (45) of Satkhira Sadar.

Dr Manas Mondol, a physician of the hospital, said Ibrahim died 30 minutes after being admitted to the hospital's isolation unit around 10:30am.

He had been suffering from fever, cough and breathing problem, the physician added.

Masum and Ehsak breathed their last around 4:30am and 9:00am while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the hospital, he said.

Their samples have been collected for coronavirus tests.

The authority concerned were asked to follow health guidelines during the burial, the district's Civil Surgeon Joyanta Sarker said.
