25 injured in land dispute

At least 25 people were injured when two groups of rival villagers clashed allegedly over a land dispute at Syedpur village in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria yesterday. Quoting locals, police said men of one Dewan Uddin of the village locked in an altercation with the supporters of Malu Munshi over the ownership of a disputed land around 1:00pm. At one stage, both the groups attacked each other with sticks and sharp weapons that left at least 25 people from both sides injured.
