24 Jamaat-Shibir men held

Police in separate drives arrested 24 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir from five upazilas of the district in the last two days. Of them, 12 are from Sadar upazila, five from Kaliganj, three from Shailakupa, one from Kotchandpur and three others from Maheshpur upazila. They were arrested on charge of planning subversive activities, said Additional Superintendent of Police Ajbahar Ali Sheikh.
