2 men shot dead in Khulna village

Two people were killed and four others injured after a man opened fire on them at Moshiali village under Khan Jahan Ali Police Station of Khulna tonight.

The victims were identified as Nazrul Islam, 45 and Golam Rosul, while the identities of the injured could not be known immediately, reports our Khulna correspondent quoting Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station.

Jakaria, a former assistant office secretary of the unit AL there, and his two brothers -- Jafrin and Milton -- locked into an altercation with another local family at their house around 8:00pm, the OC said.

At one point, Jakaria and his brothers opened fired and Nazrul and Rosul died on the spot.

The four injured four undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital in critical condition, added the OC.

Police arrested a person in this connection but the three brothers are at still at large as of filing of this report.
