2 killed, 2 injured in road accident in Jashore

Two motorcyclists were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Jashore's Bagharpara upazila tonight.

The deceased were identified as Al Amin, 28, son of Anwar Hossain of Rajapur village under Narail's Lohagarh upazila, and Yasin Ali, 24, son of Mizanur Rahman of Teghari village under Jashore's Bagharpara upazila, reports our local correspondent quoting Firoz Uddin, officer-in-charge of Bagharpara Police Station.

Critically injured Sabbir Hossain and Kabil Sheikh are undergoing treatment at Jashore General Hospital, added the OC.  

According to police, Al Amin was returning to Jashore from Narail riding his motorcycle and Yasin, Kabil and Sabbir were coming from the opposite direction on another bike.

The two bikes collided at Charavita area on Jashore-Narail road leaving the four critically injured, said police.

Locals rescued them and sent them to hospital where Al Amin and Yasin succumbed to their injuries, said Dr M Abdur Rashid of Jashore General Hospital.

The two injured are in critical condition, he added.
