2 held with Yaba tablets

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested two people with 11,510 pieces of Yaba tablets from Hakimpur upazila on early Wednesday. The arrestees are Rabiul Islam, 32, son of Fazlur Rahman, of Churipatti area, and Anwar Hossain, 36, son of late Boyez Uddin of Basudevpur village in the upazila. A team of Joypurhat Rab CPC-1 (crime prevention camp), acting on a tip-off, raided Churipatti area under Hakimpur municipality and arrested the duo around 1:00am. The elite force members later seized 11,510 Yaba tablets and Tk 2.94 lakh from them, said Major Arafat Hossain, commander of Joypurhat CPC-1.
