2 held with arms, bullets

Police arrested a trucker and his helper with arms, bullets and phensidyl at Koilabari truck terminal in Shibganj upazila of the district yesterday. The arrestees are trucker Mostofa Kamal, 28, son of Bisad Sardar of Tangon village in Charghat upazila, and his helper Masud Rana, 32, son of Abu Taleb of Char Kajla village under Motihar Police Station in Rajshahi. Moinul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station, said on secret information, a police team raided the truck terminal around 6:00am. After searching a truck, they recovered four pistols, eight magazines, 20 bullets and 731 bottles of contraband Indian pehensidyl from the vehicle. The law enforcers then arrested its driver Mostofa and helper Masud.
