2 docs among 5 held with wine

Police arrested five people including two doctors with nine litres of smuggled wine from Karaibaria Bazar in Taltali upazila of Barguna district on Monday night. They also seized a pick-up van from the spot. The arrestees are Dr Syed Md Nesar Ali, 28, and Dr Swapan Sarker, 27, medical officers of Lutheran Health Care, AKM Aminul Haq, 51, administrative officer, Benedict Rosario Sentu, 45, office assistant, and Michael Biswas, 45, driver of the health care centre. A case was filed in this connection, said Md Asadur Rahman, second officer of Taltali Police Station.
