15 Rohingyas arrested

Law enforcers detained 15 Rohingya intruders from Binerpota BSIC industrial area in Satkhira town yesterday.

All the arrestees travelled to Satkhira from Cox's Bazar and Chittagong districts by a passenger bus of Saudia Paribahan.

 Officer-in-Charge Emdadul Haque Sheikh of Satkhira Sadar Police Station said the group of 15 reached Satkhira town around 10:00am.

Seeing their suspicious movement, police detained them and took them to Sadar Police Station.

Quoting arrestees Akhtar Kamal and Hamidur Rahman, police said another arrestee Khaledur Rahman, known as an agent, brought the group to Satkhira luring them of providing good jobs at a shrimp enclosure there.

A case was filed against the arrestees with Sadar Police Station, the OC added.
