1 held for sexual harassment of teenager in train

A teenage schoolgirl has been sexually harassed allegedly by a youth inside a toilet of a moving train in Pabna’s Ishwardi.

The incident took place in the Rajshahi-bound Silk City Express train last night, our Pabna correspondent reports.

The victim, 14, an eighth grader, was going to Rajshahi along with her aunt from Shahid Captain Monsur Ali rail station in Sirajganj.

The passengers caught the alleged culprit Mominul Islam, 27, and handed him over to police, said Subir Kumar Dutta, officer in charge of Government Railway Police (GRP) in Ishwardi.

The victim’s aunt filed a case with GRP police station in Ishwardi this morning.

Meanwhile, the arrestee has been sent to jail through the Natore judicial magistrate court.
