Cabinet condoles death of Suranjit, Jahanara

Bangladesh cabinet today adopted a condolence motion over the death of political doyen Suranjit Sengupta, who passed away at the age of 72 yesterday.

The motion was adopted in today’s regular cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Cabinet Secretary M Shafiul Alam told reporters after meeting.

Cabinet members recalled the veteran politician’s contribution to parliament affairs and politics during the discussion session.

Also, the cabinet adopted a condolence motion over death of Jahanara Jaman, wife of AHM Kamruzzaman – one of the four leaders of Bangladesh.
